NGO VIOM

Non-profit organization for public benefit, founded in 2012. The association was established to help and support patients affected by diseases of the thyroid gland and their relatives. The goals of the association are to provide information about thyroid diseases and methods of treatment; improving patient-specialist contact and referring to adequate diagnosis and treatment; improving public awareness of the disease for prevention and early diagnosis, providing adequate treatment with modern medical devices and working with doctors to improve the organization and quality of medical services. The most important part of the activity is advocacy for patients, providing assistance and referral to specialists both in Bulgaria and abroad. VIOM is a member of the National Patient Organization, Thyroid Federation International, European Cancer Patient Coalition. The association maintains very good relations with patient organizations and medical specialists in the field of thyroid diseases throughout Europe.
