In June, members of the cluster visited the Medicintechnik-cluster and the IT cluster, which are part of Business Upper Austria, a regional development agency of the government of Upper Austria, which is an innovation engine and development partner of the region and functions as a regional chamber of commerce , by connecting and promoting business collaboration. They got acquainted with the way in which the development of clusters in Austria is stimulated and the main services that the agency offers to support business both regionally and to foreign companies, namely membership in clusters and networks, finding business partners, participation in innovation networks, support for entering new markets, accelerators, various cooperation initiatives. The meetings held were extremely useful for the future development of the cluster and its strategic development.

Prof. Dr. Rumen Pandev, as a member of the expert council, visited the center for nuclear medicine and medical radiology at the Wiener Privat Klinik. The hospital specializes in the field of internal medicine, oncology, general and specialized surgery, orthopedics, etc. It has a dedicated thyroid unit with a focus on thyroid cancer. The unit is led by Prof. Dr. Marta Hoffmann, one of the best European specialists with more than 20 years of experience in the field of diagnostics, therapy and follow-up of the thyroid gland cancer.

Part of the scientific team that was in Vienna met with Prof. Dr. Marta Hofmann and Prof. Dr. Christian Schoeba, member of the ESES Board. The purpose of the meeting was to present the proactive intelligent system for early diagnosis of the thyroid gland, feed back and opportunities for future cooperation.
